The reshaping of the esplanade surrounding St-Laurent’s subway that we proposed aimed to create a new kind of public space, deeply rooted in the 21st century. A video camera moves through cities around the world, following breaking news and cultural exchanges, proposing a different location every week or month: London, Istanbul, Tokyo, Bagdad, etc. Pictures taken from the fixed camera are rebroadcast live, 24 hours a day, and then projected onto a giant screen attached to the south wall of the esplanade.
