EASTMAN RESIDENCE
2006
-
Type: Single-family residence
Location: Eastman, Québec

Located in the Mont-Orford area, this construction is part of a housing development whose standards require the use of orange-coloured metallic roofs and dyed wooden frontages.

The volumes of the house are cut and folded, creating a long, orange ribbon roof. Spaces are organized vertically around the main staircase. A small workstation, set up for the husband, an astrophysicist, had been integrated in the attic space and is only accessible by ladder. Large windows, separated by yellow fibro cement panels, open up onto an outdoor south-oriented terrace.
